Is it just me or do you really hate, ok, I shouldn't say "hate", how about "despise", yeah, I like that better...
Is it just me or do you really despise those co-workers that make your work life a nightmare. In this day in time, I know jobs are scarce and I wouldn't want anyone that's currently employed to become unemployed, because I've been there - But DAMMIT, I wish some people would move to another position. Or at least a different office! I know, I shouldn't give others the power or authority over my emotions, and I really don't, at least not on the regular, but I will not lie - some people really bother me...
Now in my work place, we have a couple of different types of disturbing behavior to me. I consider myself a laid-back, relaxed guy, so you will see why these type of things bother me so.
The Know-It-All: This person swears that they have the perfect answer for all problems. They are almost always correct and its just better to ask them first before even consulting anyone else and then go with their opinion only.
The Victim: This is the one that swears that everybody is out to get them and they are never at fault for in-sighting others. They were simply trying to do their job and do it the way that the boss would approve of, when all of a sudden they were harassed, mentally, physically, socially, whatever context, they were just an "innocent by-stander" when said events took place.
The Blamer: It's always someone else's fault. Even if that other person had the day, week, month off, they were responsible for something that happened while they were not even there. The Blamer often is the same person as "The Victim" and is usually the one that feels that some grave wrong has been done against them for any "little outrageous" act.
The Frantic Worker: This is the person that runs around, looking like a chicken with their head cut off. Now I've never been on a farm, nor seen a chicken with their head cut off, but I have seen co-workers, who I'd like to cut their head off, and I can tell you, it's bothersome... I like to consider myself an efficient person. One who plans to get things accomplished in a certain way, but if things do not always work out, then it's ok - We will deal with it accordingly. Panic, I mean frantic behavior is not necessary, just irritating!
The Exaggerator: This is my all time favorite... Every thing that happens is magnified 110 percent. There is no such thing as a little mistake, or boo-boo. They are convinced that something not done according to someone's specifications (usually theirs) will result in some catastrophic ending to the work world as we all know it. Every molehill must be turned into a Mountain and it cannot be resolved by anything simple. You should become as dramatic and outraged as they are or else you are not doing your job...
Now there are many more types of annoying behavior that co-workers probably exhibit on a regular basis. But I need to go back to work, before I get accused of not doing my job again...
Until next episode...
